Our History
Charles Eugene Waite formed the trust in July 1986 to promote education and preservation of land and wildlife.
Our Mission
The founder of the Sylvania Foundation, Charles Eugene Wait, had a goal to promote a safe place for wildlife to flourish and provide important information on wildlife habitats. The foundation is moving forward with his practices by providing the following:
- Butterfly Garden
- Bluebird Nest Boxes
- Bee Habitat
- Camping Sites
- Pond
- Astronomy Study
- Use of Facilities for Meetings
- His Kids Students Programs
By providing a variety of habitats we hope to improve the wildlife diversity on the property both now and in the future.
